Lara Area Transfer Guide
Lara sits on Antalya's eastern shore, bridging the gap between the airport and the city centre. On one side, a long sandy beach backed by large resort hotels; on the other, Antalya's shops, restaurants and historic quarter. Staying in Lara means you can dip into both worlds without a long drive. Transferva provides the flexible connections that make a city-resort combination work smoothly.
Where Is Lara and How Do You Get There?
Leaving the airport, the coast road heads north-east: Kundu appears first, then the Lara hotel strip begins. Antalya's old town (Kaleici) is roughly 14 km north-west. The tram line runs along Lara Caddesi but the beachside hotels are not within walking distance of a stop. Belek is 25 km east, Kemer 55 km west. The seaward side of Lara Caddesi is hotel territory; the landward side is residential and commercial.
What to Expect in Lara
Lara's real draw for British visitors is the city-resort crossover. You can leave your beach hotel and be inside a major shopping centre — TerraCity, Deepo Outlet or Agora — within 15 minutes. The restaurant row along Lara Caddesi, especially the fish restaurants and meze houses, offers a genuine Turkish dining scene away from the hotel buffet. Kundu's beach strip effectively merges with Lara; walking between the two is possible, yet door-to-door hotel distances still reach 3-8 km. At weekends the public beach area fills with local families for barbecues, giving a flavour of everyday Antalya life. An evening run to Kaleici for sunset drinks and a stroll through the old harbour is one of the best add-ons to a Lara stay.
Transfer Tips and Vehicle Advice
Lara's proximity to the airport means even late-arriving flights put you in your room fast — add your flight number when booking so our tracking system adjusts for delays automatically. For shopping trips, book a round-trip transfer; TerraCity and Deepo Outlet sit on the same road, so both fit in one outing. A sedan handles the short hop to Kundu hotels. For an evening in Kaleici, an 18:00 pick-up and 23:00 return is the most practical pattern.
